Major Arnold Ernst Toht (Girl with a Kitten)
£20.00
A series of paintings based on Lucien Freud’s Girl With A Kitten. Varnished gouache on plywood. 80 x 80mm. This one depicts the evil Nazi Major Arnold Ernst Toht, played by actor Ronald Lacey, just as his face is melting off in the opening of the Ark of the Covenant scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Instead of a kitten, he is holding a lollipop. Also the lollipop has a face. Don’t ask me.
