A series of paintings based on Lucien Freud’s Girl With A Kitten. Varnished gouache on plywood. 80 x 80mm. This one shows the little murderer from Nic Roeg’s Don’t Look Now. I did a few weeks work at Selfridges way back when. One of the girls came in wearing a shiny red mac and someone said to her, “I love your coat, it’s very Don’t Look Now”. The person wearing the coat had not seen the film and thought it was a compliment. I was very temporarily in love.
